  During the period from June 1 through September 30 only one largemouth or smallmouth bass over 16 inches per day or 5 fish per day with the length less than 16 inches may be caught at Douglas Lake. The rest of the year 5 fish with no size limit per day may be caught.

  The most productive period for bluegill fishing at Douglas Lake is from April through September. Small spinners, jigs and flies are good for it.

  During the summer months white bass mostly swim in the lower section of the lake. White bass are easily caught on Rooster Tail lures.

  Trolling is an effective method for crappie fishing here. The best colors for lures are white, chartreuse, blue and green.
